Hi we are Alistair and Ffyona,
We live in Scotland, we love to explore the beautiful, historical, uniquie and tranquility of the the United Kingdom. But where to begin? It started with an imprompt trip to the Isle of Mull, after having lunch in Dunfermline Fife, Ffyona's car was needing a good run, it was an old little blue Yaris, having recently passed her test she decided to take the scenic route upto Crieff, however after reaching Crieff the idea of turning back was far from her mind, lets carry on as Crianlarich is only 30 odd miles away, anyway cut a long story short we end up driving all the way to Oban, a short walk along the pier and an enquiry at the ferry terminal and we were booked to cross to the Isle of Mull, this was maddness, crazy, adventourous and fun. The ferry takes an hour and by dinner time that evening we were sitting enjoying a very fresh fish at the MishNish in Tobermory. As the sunset we agreed to head to the other end of the Island to Fionnfort so that we could cross early morning to the Isle of Iona, we drove the beautifully scenic route encoutering not a single car on route but many animals were leisurely wandering on the road....we discovered the reason for so many animals to be on the road through the night was that there is risidule heat on the tarmac. We slept in the car with an earlier that day purchase of a pair of curtains and the rest is what we say HISTORY!! Ffyona has over the last year been playing with her creative flair and been taking many photos along the way, we both engaged in the history and learning all about the castles and hidden gems in and around mainly Scotland so far, armed with Historic Scotland Passes, National Trust for Scotland, Camera and a picnic we have continued our explorations, come along with us on our trips and our recommendations. Hope you enjoy our little blog Thanks Alistair and Ffyona |
